Have to drill out a bolt out of my thermostat housing. Got the manifold off and can take it somewhere but don't know where. I have never had any luck drilling out bolts. I called sears automotive to see if they could but said it was to risky and wouldn't do it. Anybody have any suggestions?

You need to find an automotive machine shop. This kind of work is what a machinist does every day.

I'd drill it out for you for $1000. that way if I **** up I could buy you a crate engine

He doesn’t need a new motor. He would just need a new intake manifold. A lot cheaper so you could save some of that $1000.

There are many different ways to remove a broken bolt. Try to exhaust all options. If you mess up, you can just get a new manifold. Good luck...

Ya I was only joking. Looking online though I was waaaay off on costs of an engine. Back in the 80's was the last time I priced an engine and it was like $800 for a crate engine 350 or so I think haha. Now engines can run 14k to 25k..ouch.
