hello all,
i have a 2001 ford mustang v6. (3.8L i think). recently, car was diagnosed with bad General electronics Module (GEM) and its my understanding that the part has been discontinued with no known replacement. local ford dealer is of no help either. put a nationwide locate on the part with no luck either. does anyone know anywhere that i could get one? this vehicle has approx 32,000 orignial miles on it, and i don't want to have to just junk it because ford discontinued the part. i have no windshield wipers (which now i can't get the car to pass state inspection), no interior light, no keyless entry, and the drivers side window won't go down. the window problem was the inital problem that led to the discovery of the bad GEM module.
it's sad to think that a vehicle that is only 11 years old and parts are discontinued by ford. aftermarket parts search has resulted in no results either. please help! im about at my wits end!
