Default What's in the 2011's "Security Package"

It lists:

Wheel Locks
and an "Active Anti-Theft System" what exactly does that mean?
It is my understanding that all Mustang's have alarms so is it something more advanced then that? And if so, what is it?

The main reason I'm asking is the Kona Blue Premium V6 I'm looking at has the upgraded differential instead of the Security Package on the window sticker so I want to make sure I'm not missing out on anything...

Thanks!

Um, ask the salesman?
If he cant explain it, go to the srevice manager.
If he does not know, go to Ford and tell them of the problem
with the dealership selling what they do not know.
Raise a stink and the price will come down...
Use this to your advantage...

for the 2008s. I have the active alarm system. Basically it has motion sensors, and movement sensors. If the car senses motion inside of it, or if the car gets moved or tilted the alarm will activate.

i dont know if its different for the 2010s, i would assume its the same if you have the same option.

So do you think it could be installed aftermarket if I wanted to do it later or do you think it's even worth it for just some motion sensors? This vehicle is the only 203A with the LSD that I have seen in AZ so far.

I just checked the second link that 157db posted and see that it is also a transponder based engine immobilizer which I'm guessing would cost out the nose to have put on after the purchase at a dealership.. if it's even possible..

They all have PATS.
Its not an add on option.

From what I was reading it was kind of sounding like that I reread it. Thanks for clarifying. So it seems like the incline sensors and motion sensors are really the only things that are added extra. I will consult someone in the service dept at the dealer just to verify this though.

Thanks for the clarification man!

The '05-09 'secruity package is nothing more that a glorified horn blower.
I cant see it being any better with the 2010-11 models.
I dont have it I didnt want it.
Factory alarms are just PITAs. I hear them all the time
and its the OWNER whom has set it off by pulling the
door handle while the vehicle is still locked. IDIOTS.
If criminals are jacking up your stang to tow it off,
the honking horn is not going to stop them.
Who calls the cops on a tow truck towing a vehicle?
