2015 Mustang Pace Car To Debut in Michigan
The birthday gifts just keep rolling in for the Mustang with the latest being the new model being selected to make its official pace car debut at the Michigan International Speedway.
In honoring of the car’s 50th Anniversary, the 2015 Mustang will lead drivers to the green flag on June 15, at the upcoming Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. It’s a fitting tribute for the iconic American pony car born, which has long history in the world of racing.
“With its proximity to the Motor City, Michigan International Speedway is a showcase for the auto industry,” said Chantel Lenard, director, U.S. Marketing, Ford, in an official release. “To have Mustang – a brand born of racing – in this special anniversary year, leading some of the world’s best drivers to the green flag, is special.”
