Get Some Drift Lessons From Ken Block and the Hoonicorn
Ken Block built his name slinging AWD cars sideways in all kinds of crazy situations and scenarios. From the dirty antics of rally racing to the hilariously entertaining Gymkhana videos, Block has proven, time and again, that he possesses incredible levels of car control when things get sideways. His latest machine of AWD terror is a V8 powered, AWD Mustang monster that has been dubbed the Hoonicorn. Autocar recently got a chance to spend some time with Ken and the Hoonicorn to learn more about the art of drifting in an AWD car, and to get some first-hand experience from the master himself.
Yes, it is as awesome as it sounds.
The video is mostly a nice interview with Block about the car, about how he got into rally, and about how his skills and experience molded his special form of drifting. From there it’s just a nice collection of sideways and smokey footage of Block beating his Mustang around the track. Sadly, the track portion is filled with a particularly annoying dubstep soundtrack that drowns out the noise of the V8, but you can still hear a bit of the angry engine noise if you listen closely.
