Mustang & Harley: A Match Made in Milwaukee

Enthusiasts will enjoy fire dancing, a meet & greet with Miss Wisconsin 2018, and a contest to enter to win Reba tickets, Aug. 4.

There’s few things quite as classically American as a Ford Mustang. However, Harley-Davidson motorcycles are right up there, too. Realizing this, a Mustang enthusiast in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin created a joint show for both back in 2008, now called Heroes Horses and Hogs.

In the ten years since that first show, the event has grown in size considerably, but the aim remains the same: celebrating good old American horsepower and engineering, while supporting local businesses in the Fond du Lac area and veteran’s charities.

This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, August 4th and looks to be a fun, action-packed event for fans of Harleys and Mustangs alike. Attendees can pick up ballots and vote on their favorite cars and bikes while enjoying live music and other entertainment.

A fire dancer, Sarah Sparkles, will perform, as well as a meet & greet with Miss Wisconsin 2018, Tianna Vanderhei. Country music fans can enter to win Reba tickets thanks to a local radio station. A body painter will demonstrate their skills, and if you get thirsty, there will be a beer garden to sample.

Of course, the main focus is the cars and bikes, and there will be plenty. If photos from the previous years’ shows are any indication, it should be an incredible time for fans and participants alike.

Naturally, the aim of the day is all fun and games, but there is a good cause to support, too. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Salute the Troops, Inc., a veterans charity based in Fond du Lac.
