Mustang Narrowly Misses Getting Hit by Semi Truck

Talk about close calls.

I count roughly two seconds separating this Mustang from making it safely across the highway and narrowly missing getting drilled by a semi-truck.

Luckily, the driver wound up on the right side of that two-second mark, although we’re sure it felt like an eternity when things quickly started spiraling out of control in the car. The trucker’s dash cam captured the video below, which shows the near catastrophe. The video was uploaded to YouTube by Larry Schoonover, who was driving the semi when the Mustang came barreling down an onramp, out of control.

“He tries to merge onto I-20 at a high rate of speed on wet roads, and loses control by hitting the shoulder onramp and over-correcting,” wrote Schooner in the clip’s brief summary. “I missed him by about 10-15 yards.”

Whether the Mustang driver realized how close he or she came to getting hit by the truck is a little unclear. But it had to be a scary time behind the wheel, regardless.
