Battle of the 8s: Mustang Takes On Supra at TX2K15
The Supra is known for putting down unimaginable numbers from its engine, making it a drag racing force to be reckoned with. That said, there’s always someone faster than you, and for the Supra, that faster car is this Mustang.
The duel goes down at TX2K15, and with both cars running 8s, the race is bound to be close. And it was. The Supra runs 155.49 miles per hour, which is impressive, and actually faster than the Mustang’s trap speed. But it ran an 8.926-sec compared to the Mustang’s 8.757.
TX2K has become the Mecca of drag racing since its inception a few years ago. It’s where bench racers, grudge matches, high speed, and huge horsepower all get together. No more smack talk, this racing is all based on numbers. TX2K16 is already on the calendar for March 17-20 at the Royal Purple Speedway in Houston, Texas. Roll racing and dyno days will return, with open testing available for those who are attending. Classes have yet to be announced, but we can’t wait to see this year’s action from the South!
