Corvette Crashes Into Mustang While Drag Radial Racing
Things didn’t end well during this night of racing, not after a Corvette crashed into a Mustang. It was a night of drag radial racing, when these two were lined up, but the Corvette shot across the left lane into the Mustang. The crash happened at a bit of speed too, with one of the cars sliding across the line at over 60 mph despite the crash happening basically just outside of the gate. Thankfully both drivers are okay, which is a testament to their safety gear. It certainly could have been a lot worse, especially for the Mustang; it didn’t roll, but it sure came very close. This is why racing belongs at the track. Safety first, folks!
Unfortunately, the Mustang suffered a level of damage in this crash far worse than the Corvette. The Mustang might not be re-buildable, where as the Corvette only suffered some suspension component damage. It’s always understood that things can go wrong, and as they say, “that’s racing.” We hope to see both of these guys back out there battling it out soon.
