Nine of the Dumbest Rookie Moves at the Wheel

I think the video below really nails it. One, because I can recall doing a lot of these things myself as a young, inexperienced driver. And two, because I catch a lot of young people doing a lot of the same stuff today.

As of matter of fact, I’m betting this clip, entitled the “9 Dumb Things You Do As A Rookie Driver,” could actually be expanded to at least 19 dumb things. But Car Throttle has done a good job of narrowing down a solid nine in a way that only ol’ Car Throttle can — funny, direct, and straight to the point.

From driving with your fog lights on to trying to go full throttle without warming up the engine, all of the things mentioned seem like fairly common mistakes by young, inexperienced drivers.

But one of my favorite is definitely number four: “Sucking at Parking.” The crazy thing is that I know a few seasoned adult drivers who fall into this category too.
