Outside of that, a repaint applied back in the early to mid-’80s represents the only non-original detail on this stunning survivor. The current owner touched up the hood recently, but the rest of the car looks pretty good considering the age of the job.

Obviously, 1971 and older Mustangs don’t garner the same collector interest of their earlier brethren. But in this case, you’d have a hard time finding one with a much higher ceiling. And that alone makes this Mach 1 the true definition of a survivor!
