Are Racing Stripe Vinyls Hard to Install?
#11
PLzz!
I worked for a sign company way back, and laid my stripes, good quality vinyls will last, but I have noticed red to be the main color to have a fading problem. This was over a 4yr period.Putting on anything over 10in(Dual stripes) I wouldn't try,But the F.bumper you might have to cut the vinyl and two piece it(I did).If you do try,use a mixture of joy soap and water, this will let you be able to move the vinyl around and not stick right away,if you've never laid vinyl go to a sign shop and get something called rapid tack,it's the same thing but gives you more time to position the stripes than soap and water.

If you want to save $$$ as I did, I did stick, then got tired of the polish on edges, then had a guy do paint, did not seal, got buffing compound on edges could not remove, got teed off at that guy took to a custom shop, $1200, black with Bright red pearl overlay and sealed with 4 layers of Clear, on a brand new car, but man does it shine and water run off and not wax signs to worry about.
