FOG LIGHT PLACEMENT

Why do some GT's have the fog lights right next to each other center grill and others have them separated?

there's a couple of aftermarket grilles that place them in the center.

they didn't come from the factory like that.

I got my grill form Mustangs Unlimited...I just like the looks of the two fogs close together..
