I have the stock 18" Polished aluminum wheels on my 08 GT. I had a question about maintaining them. I was told they probably have a protective clear coat over them and not to use aluminum polish on them. Is this true? Thanks.

I believe so. I have them also and I usually washthem with soapy water and a soft cloth. I'd think anything with an abrasive could cloud the clearcoat.

The polished 18" are clear-coated. Wash & wax for me,they still look great. I also clean & wax the inner area when I rotate the tires.
