Honestly, after seeing the side shot, I don't hate it nearly as much! I still wouldn't do it to my car, but it's definitly something different.

If your going to do it, you need one on each side though

just my opinion but i would lose the side pillar emblems...they just dont go with the car at all....i dont think any emblem should be placed on the B-post at all on the S197s....some of the older 60's and 70's models have had them...it might be better to leave it to those models....

nice wheels though....have you thought of a diff rear spoiler, hood, or front bumper?...or maybe you can go straight to underhood dress-up....maybe some lowering springs?...good places to start there!

Thanks for the input. I'm having the windows tinted on Thursday, and will be adding smoked headlight covers on Monday. No other mods for awhile.

So far most comments have been negative on the pillar badge. The 45th Anniversary lettering was not very readable on the front fender location...it is on the pillar. Every time I get into the car I see it, and it helps me "cowboy up" and get ready for a spirited back road drive (which I do most every day). So, it stays!

I think the emblem on the pillar is unique but you need it on both sides to be complete. Have you thought about placing it inside your car somewhere? Like maybe below the ¼ panel window?

It is on both sides...the other one is mounted on the fuse box cover.
