That's a great option for vert owners if I had a vert i'd have this its like the best of both worlds!

yeah, I have a 85 Jeep CJ-7 with a hard top. When I take it off, i usually just sit it on the ground in the garage (2 man job), but there are ways of hanging it from the ceiling as well with pulleys and the like. Very easy and out of the way (one man job).

My mother had one of these for her mercedes sl convertible it was called a hard-top (note, about 30 years ago). It worked very well, had even a read window heater. Yes storing was a pain, and two strong guys needed to put it on/take it off.

Regular louvers would fit, you're right that SHR's are questionable. My main concern is that there is very little room between the bottom of the window and the bottom of the part. It's hard to say without actually looking at it in person
