Minor paint problem after wax
Paste waxes are great and last longer then liquid waxes......now onto my point...OP buy some Tech wax 2.0 from Meguiars and it should fill in those light scratches you speak of but cant get pics. My guess is the pad got contaminated and was dragged across the paint unknowingly. The pad they give when clean will NOT scratch the paint. I have been detailing cars for 20 yrs and have used almost all Meguiars products....professional and consumer types. I would also suggest that next time you wax the car to get a Porter cable D/A polisher.....your hand cannot and will not ever match up to what you can do with a D/A polisher. Your car is new and if clayed, polished, then glazed or waxed should be enough to "fill" in any imperfection. Just know that in time they will reappear and thats when its time to at least wax the car again. Compounding the car with a nice mild compound will get out any swirl or light scratch......for bigger problems like deep scratches wetsanding is the only way to get the paint flawless and if you dont know what your doing you can destroy the paint. JMO but fill those in for now and next time focus on using the D/A polisher for the polish and the liquid wax.....this is JMO
Oh and I have had many black cars that show every flaw in the paint and I can get the car to look mirror perfect with deep dark reflections.
