Black halo lights - worth the money?
Hi all! First post here
I recently bought a 2006 GT and are now planning to do some mods to it. While checking out AM's website I found these headlights: http://www.americanmuscle.com/2005-p...hts-black.html
I've searched the forums for opinions about these headlights but didn't get the info I was looking for. Would be very greatful if anyone here could help me out with my decision whether they're worth buying or not.
How's the overall quality of these lights?
Is it a high maintenance thing compared to stock lights?
Is it a difficult procedure to replace burned out bulbs?
I've heard that these lights tend to get foggy inside, anyone who knows more about this?

ive seen several sets in person and most will eventually fog up.
quality i saw was decent.
it will be a bit more difficult to change bulbs.
honestly i would just stock with your stockers but its your car and your taste.

they say do not use HIDs because the front plastic lense cant withstand the heat and will melt and/or distort...
i spoke about these lights on another thread recently since i used to own them so ill just copy/paste my info here...
when i first got them, i liked the a lot but the light output was extremely poor even with a set of $100 luminics bulbs installed and had to rely on my fogs as a primary means on lighting at night...
here is my other post info:
i had them also,...
i discarded the bulbs that came with them and purchased Luminics Titanium White H13 bulbs that cost me $100 and even then the light output through the projectors was just terrible........
at night on a road with no street lights, if u didnt use your fogs, you would drive over stuff that you never saw coming....
just my experience with them...

Those were the first mods I did after I got my car (from ebay though), and after I got them, I didn't like the look. Not to mention the passenger side halo didn't work. Afterwards, I just got the lights that look like stock, but with the single halo.

I bought them and I'm not a fan at all... I haven't had a chance to put my stock lights back on. The passenger side light is completely fogged and the only way I can get any visibility is with my high beams on... I upgraded to clearer (more expensive) bulbs instead of the ones they came with and the light is terrible. It is so bad that nobody knows that I have my high beams on... I just drive with the high beams on all the time
