2010 GT500s come with painted side skirts. You can get them from Ford in primer and ready to paint. So that would solve the issue of getting smooth painted sides. However, the rear valance looks like it will need to be sanded and prepped to get it smooth.

Yea the shelbys definitely have the same black plastic moldings that we all do. Never seen one otherwise from Ford. Maybe you saw one that got them painted?
