Switchback parking light load resistors?!?

Switchback parking light load resistors?!?
I was looking into possibly getting some 3157 LED Switchback bulbs to go in my new clear corner lights and have seen a few posts where people mention sometimes needing to get load resistors for these bulbs to prevent hyperflashing. Can anyone chime in with their experience with these bulbs and whether or not we need the load resistors, or if the need for them is dependent on individual car, year ...etc. In some posts, throughout multiple forums, people seem to say they didn't need them and others say they did for different types of cars. I was looking for a definitive answer for our cars if there is one. Thanks in advance
