Heck those LED stick lights that hang on the hood so you can see the ENTIRE engine bay when working on the car at night come in sizes that will EASILY fit under your seat. I've seen some that hang that will fit in the glove box, and they will light up A LOT more area than a flashlight.

I used to use a flashlight but those other lights just light it up so much you don't have to hold that darn flashlight in one hand or sit it down hoping it wont fall to the ground. You can see everything with no trouble whatsoever.

THATS why the flashlight was improved by this.
Not reinventing the wheel by any means in my opinion.
Just making those old wagon wheels into forged wheels lol!

Even if you had one you had to put in the trunk.... if you are not lazy and can handle a handheld flashlight, how difficult would be walking to the
trunk to grab one that will let you see things better?
I mean REALLY....

They make hats with LEDs in the brim.
But if you are blind, no amount of light will help.
Once you place yourself inbetween the
light mounted on the hood and what
you are trying to see, it gets awful
dark from the shadow of your head...

I dont have a very big melon so my shadow is not much of a problem.

Now if you were talking about my banana, I would be casting a HUGE shadow hahaha!

Get one of those headband flashlights that night fisherman use and put that in your glove box. Hands free and those things are very bright and cheap!

I carry around a small box of hand tools and have a flashlight on a string in there. Never needed more then that.

Or you could get some LED's IMPLANTED into the whites of your eyes and have a button implanted right behind your ears to turn them on and off.

NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TAWKIN' BOUTS!

Not the same as a utility light but since I lost my job I've been doing some LED lighting on the side.

Here are a few samples
