Wax once a month + wash often and you have yourself some clean wheels

So you guys think it's ok to use regular car wax on the wheels? I have ford wheels btw, so I was just making sure since my wheels are starting to accumulate brake dust lol. Washing just isn't doing enough anymore.

You can use the waxing liquid on the painted wheel. It doesn't matter. Carry on with any good waxing liquid there will be no problem with it. I usually use turtle wax to wax my my car. It is good liquid material for the car washing. Otherwise you can use home made products also. You can wax your wheel with the help of baking soda.

I am surprised this was not suggested. Rather then try to treat the symptoms, go after the root cause.

I would suggest looking at some Cmax cermaic brake pads from Autozone. $125 for front and back will dramatically reduce brake dust. No need to spend the money on higher dollar ceramic pads from Hawk or others. The Cmax pads will work just fine plus provide better overall braking performance.

I run these becasue my wheels are powder coated textured black. Waxes combined with ceramic pads would do wonders.
