Default GT/CS bumper help

Hi guys,
I just got my GT/CS bumper from American Muscle painted and installed (local body shop did it for $420). The shop told me that the original upper grille from my v6 bumper wouldn't fit in the new GT/CS bumper.. I called American Muscle and they said the new upper and lower grilles were supposed to be in there. They weren't and now American muscle says I have to call the manufacturer because without pictures of what i received they(American Muscle) can't help. I haven't called the manufacturer yet but i am pretty sure i will get the same response that American Muscle did.
Any way...I have a few questions. Should the OG upper grille fit or is it to small? If doesn't fit is there a cheaper place to get an upper grille than American muscle? I just need the stock one or one that fits and doesn't have the fog lights. I was thinking of using a Bullitt grille but $400 on the upper grille is way to much. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Hey noodle!

No, the stock v6 grille will not fit the GT/CS bumper. The tabs don't line up correctly and it has a few dimensions that are significantly different from the GT OEM grille. Are you sure you want the OEM GT grille? There are tons of grilles out there that aren't $400... I got mine from DG customs. They're replacement grilles and will require drilling into the radiator support and bumper, but they look killer. I took my time and measured carefully and I think it came out pretty well. Top notch company and they cost less than $110...

Thanks

Mayo, you're right, that Bullitt grille looks flat-out amazing, but OP doesn't want to drop that coin! haha

Noodle, it comes with pretty good install instructions. Give them a call (they're in Cali). The tools that I needed were a drill, and I believe a 3/8" and 1/4" drill bit and a phillips head screw driver and a socket wrench with 10mm and I think maybe 11 and 13mm sockets. Then again, I have the same grille, only with the hidden fogs, so the install might differ slightly.

You can usually find a Bullitt grille in the classified section or on Ebay for much less that $400 if that's what you want.

I was gonna say that but your timing has to match the offer.

OP, street scene has an inbord light style grille for less than $200...
With your bumper, it would look like this:

Hmm thats interesting I just had a conversation with them a week ago. They didnt say anything about including upper grill. You might be interested in this for $159:

looks like it will install direct to the bumper.
