Any chrome or silver wheel even would go nice with the white stripe. IMO 18s look better than any other size since you can add a pretty meaty tire while still having a nice sized wheel.

I really hate posts like this. It doesn't really matter what we all think, just think about it long enough to where you know what you want before you spend your money on it.

I have narrowed it down to the wheels that I like. My favorite one only comes in a 18x8 or 18x10, my second choice has those sizes plus a 18x9 . My question, I have the silver painted 17" billiet factory rims, look too skinny to me. Does anyone know what the width of the factory rim?

Is 18x10 too wide for the front? I was thinking the 18x9 would be the right fit, but really like my choice #1, which only comes in 8 and 10 wide. Is 8 wide enough and a noticable appearance difference from the factory ones?

Thanks again for everyones help!

The stock 17's should be 8 inches wide, stock 18's are 8.5. 10's will fit fine, though you are looking at the width of the tires, not the wheels.

All black wheels are so common, why not black chrome if you want something dark, yet shiny? Or if you still want a dark finish, why not something Graphite/charcoal with a similar color stripe? Get something that is a bit more unique! Otherwise, the white stripes will always look good, one of my favorite color combos on Mustangs.
While we don't offer the 18" sizes you mentioned, here's our matte graphite finish for reference

I know you are looking at 18's, but there are some 20's that look pretty good on a TR. This one is one of my favorites for a TR, that I've seen on the web:

....and, if you're up for black wheels, these Roush wheels look pretty tight and are 18X10's, if you can find a set anywhere anymore:

Thanks for all of the opinions. Ended up ordering 2010 chrome gt wheels and 10" rally stripes from American Muscle. Now the wait begins!

Sounds good! What color stripes did you go with? Of course I saw this yesterday and thought of your debate/this thread...
