Default Anyone know how to remove the power seat and lumbar switches?

Hello all,
In the midst of renovating my 2005 GT and have a set of Katskins on the way. I am wanting to paint the plastic sides on my seats which are currently dove gray but I cannot figure out how to get the switches out. It appears the seat switch **** should pop off but it's not doing so easily. On the lumbar switch I can pop one side loose but can't get the other side loose. Anyone know how to remove these? I don't want to break them.

Thanks,

John

If you can't get them off, maybe you could use painters tape and mask around the switches.

Thanks for the link! describes a bit on the removal but still not sure where the clips are. On the power seat switch just says "remove ****" but doesn't say how. Guess they expect you to be a ford mechanic and know how such parts work! :-)

The lumbar switch will come out. You just gotta work each side and release the small tabs. Get a small pick tool and pry it out little by little evenly n all side and soon enough it will clear the the bumps and come out.

The seat slider cover will come off. I just tool one of those panel pry tools and slowly put pressure on it and the cover pops off.

I removed mine, cause I was thinking of getting them hydrocarbon dipped, but decided to hold off for now.
