Yep, same problem here............I read on another forum that it WOULD
help to turn OFF the radio prior to shutting down the car and leaving it for
an extended period of time..........I tried it and Did NOT have that problem
since !

watch out for a cracked battery with one cell dying, mine came from Ford like this and wasn't caught but the prepurchase inspection either....found it after it was home and it set a week. Battery Acid nearly ate all of the paint of the frame, I'm so glad Ford Paid for all the repairs and rental car.

 

Had the problem last month. My car sits for several weeks at a time. The dealer tried to tell me that was the problem, so I showed them the TSB.

They did not even attempt to recharge. They just gave me a new battery.

 

Where's the TSB on this? So far since the first time the battery died its been working okay after the charge we gave it. I did start turning off the radio when I get out of the car rather than leave it on. Wouldn't think that would matter since it automatically turns off after a few minutes of sitting there. Keeping my fingers crossed... where is the TSB on this problem?
