dashboard squeaks, any ideas?

RE: dashboard squeaks, any ideas?
Skin 5050,
The pieces I used were 5/8" wide ('cause that's how wide the roll of tape was, no other reason), about 3/8" deep. I adjusted the thickness by folding until they were thick enough to just separate the dash pad from the front plate. For me that was about 1/8" on the drivers side and about 1/16" on the passenger side. Between the dash pad and the passenger side pillar, mine was about 1/8". Be careful when pushing that one in. If you push too far it will drop down behind the pad and you'll have to do it again.
The one between the dash pad and the pillar is completely invisible. You can just barely see the ones between the pad and the front plate if you shine a flashlight right on them and get like 3 or 4 inches away, otherwise they're totally hidden. I asked a couple of people to look for them and they couldn't spot them, the only caveat is that my dash is black. If yours is a different color you might want to try finding tape of a similar color. Hope this helps!

RE: dashboard squeaks, any ideas?
Thanks Leddhedd for the response. I'm giving up on the dash noises. The tape didn't fix it. The only good thing is once it warms up, the squeaking will go away and I will soon forget about it until fall. I know it's a mustang and there will be some noises, but my car is brand new and this stuff shouldn't be happening with a brand new 2006 car. Just my opinion. Everything else is awesome.
