Is this normal??
Ok so my new 06 gt... when im driving and i take my foot off the accelerator and my idle doesn't drop at all, the rpms stay the same the whole time??? is this normal?? my second question is>>> is there any trunk button inside the 06 gt??? i've spent 2 days searching for it and now i feel stupid bc i haven't found it so im asking you guys! Thanks
The rpms drop very slowly because of the drive-by-wire system. It's a little disconcerting at first, but is supposed to be better for emissions/mpg and such.
Nope, unless they changed that from the 2k5. No trunk button other than what's on the remote.
Enjoy!!

No button but there is a wire. Crawl through the rear seats and into the trunk and pull the trunk release wire.[sm=joke.gif]

LMAO!!! I wish I would have thought of that trunk release button maybe I will just leave my rear seat down.
You can put your own trunk release button in for less then $3. It's fairly smple. All you need is a momentary contact normally open switch. One leg goes to ground, the other to a white/pink wire that is in the wiring harnass by the fuse box. I documented the procedure and included pictures in this link:
Trunk Switch
Be patient, the pictures take a while to load.
