Default Will a T56 fit?

Does anybody know if a T56, 6 speed will fit in an 05-06' GT (manual) without any tunnel or firewall (or other) modifications?

Is there anything else I should consider besides physically being able to fit it in?

thanks

Well, the shifter is in the wrong place, you will need a special bell housing, a new crossmember and maybe some other bits. I know D&D has a conversion kit for about $5k. Also, Ford is using the T56 in the FR500 so I highly doubt it requires custom fabrication for the firewall and tunnel.

The new shelby's will have a T56 but like said before you will need various new pieces including a bell houseing. I'm not sure at this moment if you can say buy a new bellhousing from Tremec and mock it up to an order T56???
I'm currently investigating that.
Currently the FR500C program does use a T56 but the only people with shifters are multimatic. I think their like 500-600.00 dollars
