Getting off the line!
OK. This may seem like a silly question but I've never really driven a car with a manual transmmission that had any power to speak of, so it's never been an issue.
What the best technique to get off the line the fastest? By that I mean what's the best way to manipulate the throttle/clutch/brake to get the best launch.
Thanks.

Pretty much what Tic just said. Practice.
Think of it as using a stair stepper exercise machine. As one foot goes down, the other foot goes up in porportion to the first foot. The key is practicing that method until you find the right ratio of clutch to fuel to achieve maximum launch and minimum tirespin. THEN, once you get comfortable with the feet, start working your way up the RPM range until you find the point that you can launch at the highest RPM using the least amount of clutch possible and getting the maxium traction.
Yup...practice.

K. Then it's more simple than I thought. If it's nothing more than popping the clutch then cool. Thought I'd have to monkey foot the brake somehow. I guess if I'm on a reasonably flat surface I'm golden.
Thanks.
Thanks.
