15inch wheels?
I want to install 15inch rims on my 05 mustang gt, but what modifications do i need to do?
Do i need to get smaller rotors or smaller calipers? any information will help.
The reason for this I want a 60's look on the wheels. Im looking foward to installing some bfgoodrige street drag radials with the new 15inch wheels.
2005 mustang gt
c&l inlet pipe
steeda coldair intake
sct tune
future modifications
ultra light steeda springs
blackout taillight panel
tokico struts

RE: 15inch wheels?
therear is much easier than the front. for the rear you will need to buy the BMR sway bar relocation bracket kit. you will also need to ue a spacer about 1/2"-3/4" thick so that the wheel clears the caliper. the fronts are tricky. if you use a skinny wheel/tire combo you can just run a 3/4"-1" spacer so that the wheels clear the cailper. i've tried a few different combos on the front and rear of my car for drag wheels and i just said the hell with it and ordered some bogarts and m/t's. problem is that when you space the wheel out to clear the caliper it sticks out of the fender wheel....and looks stupid. you may have better luck trying a set of 16" wheels or if you are really serious about getting 15"wheels that fit, call boyd's and he will make you a $et. thats what bogart did for me.

here are some pics of mine from different angles with the 15"bogarts on. i had the a-arms shortened 1.5" and made new camber plates for the top strut mount so that the front wheels don't stick out past the fenders. it was a ton of work but i think it was worth it. i just hated the look of the skinny tire sticking out.

She looks like she means business. Its one thing when you show up at the track with your street wheels but everyone knows you mean business when you show up with slicks. I love it.

RE: 15inch wheels?
i kind of wish i had gone with a 27" or 28" tall rear tire. since i had 3.73's i stuck with 26" but i'm changing them out for 4.30's now so i could have gone taller and it would have looked a bit meaner.

If you're like me, it won't be long before you will be replacing them anyway. I like experimenting a bit anyway so that I have something to base my decisions one. If you hadn't noticed, this is still a very new subject. You are the only other one that I have seen with posts running slicks.
