Need a new engine built
yeah i can see why you don't want to mess with it right now. man that sucks but have comfort in knowing you aren't the only one to grenade one on the dyno. for me to reach my goal of running an 11.99 n/a i'm probably going to have to spin this little thing some out of site rpms so i may be hunting down a shortblock also. regardless i'm building a 5.4 3V shortblock this winter and some head work/cams etc. i never planned on the stock s/b lasting long in mine whether i went s/c or n/a
Why don't you send your parts to Adam and have him build your engine, find out when it will be done, rent a truck from enterprise(or some other rental company), rent a car trailer from uhaul, load up the car on the trailer, the other parts in the truck, drive down to SD, drop off your car and parts at Adams shop, drop off the rentals, have Adam swap out the motor, have Adam tune your car, and then drive home in your mustang. The cost to rent the truck and the trailer won't be that much.
I already have everything torn apart on the floor and I'm trying to keep the cost down with doing the R&R ourselfs, also as you can see from the pics its fun. guns, mustang, rifles and BEER!!
heres she is.. pics of the block and if you go back a page you will see the piston...
