Pro 5.0 Shifter install Instructions?
Hi All.....
I purchased a Pro 5.0 Shifter for my 06 Saleen and it did not come with any instructions? I know there isnt much to it, however, Im not sure which order the hardware gets installed on the bottom of the shifter. Or which side the shift handle mounts on. Did anyone get instructions? Can anyone offer me some friendly advice? Im going to install this tonight...
thanks in advance for the help!!

RE: Pro 5.0 Shifter install Instructions?
Here are the instructions, but they are pretty much useless. You can look at the two shifters and get as much out of that as you would the instructions.
Here are a couple of things that the instructions don't tell you. First, have someone help you when it comes time to put the new shifter in. Second, unbolt the long brace that attaches to the tranny, have someone hold the shifter in place inside the car, and bolt the brace back up. Makes the install tons easier than trying to stuff the entire shifter in from inside the car or dropping the drive shaft. The stock shifter will pull out through the top if you remove the rubber block off of the back of it. Third, when you bolt up the shift rod, do NOT use locktite at first. Tighten the nut on the shift rod, then get inside the car and give it a test "feel". If it feels loose, tighten the nut some more. If it feels tight, loosen it. Basically play with it until you get it where you want it. Then, take the nut back off counting how many turns it takes. Put locktite on the bolt and put the nut back on tightening it the same number of turns it took to take it off. Then go enjoy it!
