Default Mustang Questions....

whens the next generation...errr...i mean revised version of the current mustang coming out? like 2008 or 2009???

why does ford not offer the V8 in just a plain mustang? not enough engines offered like in the old days where you could almost custom order everything about your car?

Any changes to the product line will most certainly have to do with Fords financial strength at the time. (which doesn't look good) I doubt there will be any decisions on that for a while.

Options cost money cheaper to buy the same things in bulk. Its the wal-mart way!

It costs a lot of extra money to offer everything as individual options it's much cheaper to offer base packages with a few options.

Ford tried something similar in 95 and 96 with the GTS, a GT with 6-cylinder seats and no spoiler. These were the only changes from the regular GT.

I don't think the majority of people buying GT's would be interested in an LX or GTS version with six-cylinder seats, this is the only change I could see being made because a/c, power mirrors, windows and locks are all standard now you sure wouldn't see those as options that would cost Ford a lot of money because several parts would have to be redesigned.

Sources say in 2009 we will see a redesigned Mustang.

I think they are doing well in offering a 6 & an 8, along with Deluxe / Premium, and verts.

I'm guessing the 07 year will continue to the end of 07, and a release of the 09 in mid to late 08. That 'Stang will be totally different and designed to compete with GM's Camaro.

The retro body style is fantastic, and has been received better than expectations. We may see a "COBRA only" model like this for years to come, but, I'm guessing the base model will change for 09.
