Default CDC Pod and Cobalt Gauges Installed

Here a few pics of the Classic Design Concepts 3-gauge cluster installed with Autometer Cobalt gauges. I got the pod painted factory white to match the car's paint and the interior trim. I also went with the black-faced gauges to complement the factory tach and speedo. I'm pleased with the gauges. My only complaint is the narrowband A/F gauge. It's just a dancing light show. Why does Autometer sell this gauge if it's not going to do what it's intended for?

I ordered the narrowband A/F gauge before I really learned about them. In short, they're useless. I returned mine before I even openned it. Sorry you had to find out the hard way....but if you want a real functioning A/F gauge, wideband is the only way to go. I have my Autometer Cobalt Wideband A/F gauge on backorder with Jeg's right now. I'm told they should be seeing a shipment in the next couple of weeks. Just prepare yourself....wideband A/F guages are NOT cheap[:@]

Hehe, maybe their intentions for the Narrowband is to give you a fabulous and cool light show effect while you're cruisin'.

Yeah. I had this narrowband A/F gauge installed under the impression it would just hang around the stoich region and just not move much. I'll most likely get one of those narrow to wideband conversion kits installed in the future. I didn't think this gauge would turn my car into a disco at night. It's kind of interesting and a little amusing.

Anyways, what do you all think of the color scheme and stuff? I was a little hesistant to have the colors of the trim match the exterior color of the car. But I really like how it turned out in the end. Now if I could only get the factory tach and speedo backlights blue to match the gauges and radio... My car didn't come with MyColor.

I have to wonder is the white doesn't reflect too much off the windshield during the day? In the 2nd phot there's a huge white reflection! I can't even drive with anything up there reflecting off the windshield. So I'd say it is actually a safety issue to have it painted the same black as the rest of the dash. Flat black is safest.
I do really like the aftermarket radio, and carbon fiber treatment. All you need is the e-brake cover and the 12-volt cover replaced! Maybe the remote starter?

Well, to each their own. You went with something that fit with the rest of your car's color scheme, but I would have tried to keep with the interior scheme so it would look stock. If I ever wanted to go the more gauges route, this is the one I was looking at because I don't like the pillar stuff. Though sadly, this one doesn't blend in all that well with the interior.

Personally I don't dig the white, and have never been too keen on that perticular gauge pod. But as Menace said, to each their own.

As for the narrowband complaint. Don't blame Autometer. Pretty much every gauge company out there sells narrowbands.

Actually, the reflection off the window is worse at night when driving under street lights. During the day, it's fine because my polarized sunglasses remove the glare off the window and I can see right through the reflection. Either that or I just have superpowers, but most likely it's my sunglasses.

I think your color scheme is cool looks like you did white with the rest of your interior upgrades so it works. Different is good if you wanted your car to be like everybody else's you would drive a civic.
Oh and disco's are cool too unless you are playing with your boost a lot and are worried that your a/f is off I think it works. Kinda sux that it doesn't light up blue like the rest though.
