most likely not a total. when i worked for my dads autoparts store we made lots a deliveries to body shops paints fillers ect... ive seen alot worse come out really nice. i have a redfire 06gt. when i bought my body parts i took the parts to a dealerbody shop. (they did work on my wifes 04 ranger edge, sonic blue metalic, when she slid into a ditch and torn up the front bumper) they did a great job. the shop mamger said redfire metalic is easy to match. my roush parts came back and looked perfect. they use spies hecker paint. any good body shop should be able to get you rolling again and it should come out like its never been wrecked. best of lick, id be worried if this was mine even though ive seen it done to lots of other cars

If you take it to a State Farm Certified Body Shop you do not need an adjuster, they just do the estimate, call it in and get the OK to do the work. The body shop we use is SF Cert and we just drop it off and get it fixed.
I just called my agent and she told me about these State Farm Service First Certified shops, so Im having my car transferred to one today, its one that I have heard of before and believe they do good work. Thanks a lot for the tip.

Hey BigRed,
I was rearended in my GT and they only had to replace the bumper and do a little body work under the bumper valance, no trunk damage. The new parts, R/R and paint cost $875. Luckily for me I have a Ford dealership with a body shop and they already had my Sonic Blue paint in stock so no paint matching. I see you have a LOT more damage...but thought maybe my experience will give you a little perspective.

I used my own insurance (Mercury) to facilitate getting my car fixed and they billed the other guys insurance. I went in with an estimate from a Merc approved body shop and when the body shop found more damage under the obvious damage it took Mercury 3 days to get an adjuster out there to approve the additional work, they were short staffed. It seems like the adjuster pool is short staffed no matter what company you have and they totally take their time to get out to your car.

Keep on them, with phone calls all the time! Good luck!
