If you get the V1 you throwing out 100 bucks out the window, arrows are not worth 100 bucks. Otherwise independent tests has them about equal.
Save yourself 100 bucks and get the Escort, love mine.

I went cheap and got a top of the line Cobras. I always see where the others are compared to them, but only a lower model and not their best. After using it a few trips I think I wasted my money. It does do a very good job, but picks up everything and way too many false readings.
Buglar alarms and cash registers etc.. Maybe they all do, I don't know..
I like my cobra. Mine will pick up everything under the sun on highway mode. Though I leave it on highway mode just in case. I usually leave the volume on low and see it flashing. That bright blue screen very easily catches my eye when it goes off. My Package said its the XRS797, but they don't use that name for it anymore. I think the one I have is now called the XRS9830.

Beltronics is owned by Escort now ... so they make the exact same internals ... the top of the line bel is the same as the top of the line escort ... i posted a ton of opinion on this topic somewhere else in this forum ... but, just read http://www.radarbusters.com ... you will get way more than enough info on it ... as a note to make on all radar detectors ... you get what you pay for ... SO DON'T GO CHEAP, if you want accurate readings

V1

it don protect you from tickets from bltch *** *****-envy chp chicks that ticket you without radaring, pacing, or anything that could logically tell them how fast i am going.. sry to rant
can't you fight the ticket then?

I fought my last speeding ticket (radar used) and wound up paying only $75.00.

Nothing went on my permanent driving record!

ALWAYS fight the ticket!!!

Why isnt the V1 worth it for the arrows? I used it yesterday on the Florida Turnpike and it was handy to know which way they where coming from? Sure they don't all have them but I would be lost without my arrows now!
