Default Suggestions for radar

Anyone have any good suggestions for a radar/laser detector? Whats a good brand.. whats not... what to stay away from, etc. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Id like to keep it under the $400 area because anything more just seems retarded to me...Im not made of money [8D] Thanks

Valentine 1. In urban areas the arrows rule. Been using mine for 6 or seven years and love it.

I went cheap and got a top of the line Cobras. I always see where the others are compared to them, but only a lower model and not their best. After using it a few trips I think I wasted my money. It does do a very good job, but picks up everything and way too many false readings.
Buglar alarms and cash registers etc.. Maybe they all do, I don't know..
