BPU was actually first started by the mk4 Supra guys. Mark Tozer claims to have originated (quite possible), but after everyone started using the term, he actually tried to have it copyrighted! LOL Looks like the term spread beyond the Supra community. Mk4 guys use BPU about as often as Mk3 guys use BHG (blown head gasket) lol

for the cost of the sti its rediculously easy to make that 06 much faster, and even handle better. i've dominated a few sti's through canyon roads in my stang, and its cost me 30k including all my parts installed.

mikewillsmith--a stock gt is no slower than a stock sti from a roll, nor is it slower from a dig unless the sti driver is ballsy enough to do wreck shop on his tranny. with just 4.10s i handily walked a couple evos/stis. with my current mods, its been a while since i had a good race (drive less often could be part of it lol)

You are insane.
Out the door I paid 29,900 for my new 05 Sti (new). It out handled and out runs my 06 GT (stock vs. stock).
I paid 32,700 for my GT vert (new) and it handles worse and is slower (stock vs. stock).

I just flipped from one to the other, I'm the same driver, on the same roads.. and the STi wins hands down. I love my Mustang and I don't want my Sti back, but you are dead wrong on your comments above.
If you are spending less and dominating STis then the drivers of those STis are idiots.

My STi out launched my GT by a long shot. 7000 rpms and dump the clutch in the STi and it would just chirp and break your neck and go forward.
I love to do burn outs again in my Mustang, but you must be going up against so real lame STi drivers if you are wlking them for less money. That or they paid WAY too much.

My Sti did 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and my 06 Gt does in it new the upper 5s
That aint faster.

I love my Mustang, love it. but you can't compare a 06 GT to a 05 STi unless you put a dip **** driver in the STi and a star in the GT... especially if a corner comes up.

ok, well for the price argument...i paid 26,060 out the door, and after all my mods including the visual ones, im at *maybe* $30k. i've never seen an sti on the lot for less than that, and that is what i based my comment on. the 7k dump is exactly what i was saying: a freaking good launch in an sti. unfortuneately, you dont often find people with the ***** to do it, at least i dont...not even at the track.

i do 0-60 is about 4.3 (4.30s top at ~62mph in 2nd) and haven't felt an inch of body roll since my sways went on last summer.

Hey, Hey.....All the MK3 Supras need is a metal headgasket.....know that for a fact. I do miss my 90 Turbo targa some days.

The reason I bought the Mustang instead of the STi> Price. I had the Z-plan, so I got a great deal from Ford.

I have sways on my Stang to, but it still is no where NEAR my go-kart, I mean WRX was..... The WRX was the best handling car that I have built to date. We will see how far the Stang goes.

We had a 1997 Subaru Legacy GT that was built in Indiana. We also had a 2004 Ford SVT Focus that was built in Mexico. Which car is better? One is an American built in Mexico, the other is a Japanese car built in America. I'm confused now.

Cool. How did you get that 0-60 time for such little money? I want to do it to mine. I hate being slower than my old Sti.
