It was posted that a larger wheel is added to the water pump. That would be to take up slack. A larger wheel will make it spin slower, not faster.
+1 Exactly. A larger pulley will slow down the water pump even more.

I'm actually surprised they didn't use a smaller one and add a new belt. More money, but would possibly bring in the people worrying about the cooling issue.

Ok, I been owned. [sm=chairshot.gif] It is true that the larger pulley turns the pump slower. Oh well, I have not had any temp issues with the setup. [&:]

Underdrine pullies make the belt spin slower. That's why the alt. and water pump spin slower.
Changing the pully on the water pump would be like changing the rear sprocket not front.

so im considering the purchase of some pulleys. i have a CAI and tune, and want to know if there's a noticeable difference of driving/response with the pulleys. with the CAI it was night and day - pretty amazing.

also, with the install, ive seen some issues with the water pump slowing down. any way to get around this?
