IPOD AUX
ORIGINAL: bodyputtyless
I went out and bought the adapter that holds the Ipod and plugs right into the power port. It works terrific and looks good. My only complaint is with the downloaded music. Seems the older the tune, the weaker the volume. I'm "older" so I download a lot of "older" songs. The newer recordings make your ears bleed, but the older ones are loud but don't approach the same volume level. As far as the AUX ,,I didn't even realize there was one!

In reference to the "older" tunes... go back to iTunes, change the volume level, and put it back on the iPod... it will level out the differences....
the peripheral works as advertised. ordered it from discount stereo on wednesday, arrived on saturday and i did an install tonight; took about 1.5 hours as this was the first time i took the radio out; but could now do it in half the time - thanks to the PIE install instructions - without that it woulda taken longer to figure out how to disconnect some of the controls behind the ac etc; anyway the IPOD works great; well worth the money.

Say, i've been reading that some Mustang radios are not recognizing this part after the initial install and must disconnect and reconnect or reset the dip switches.... is this happening 2u?
I know it's not all Mustangs and because of that i ask which radio do you have.
Thanks for your time.
mine did not recognize it on first try so i just flipped dip switches 1, 2 and 3 up and then down while it was still connected and boom - it worked; don't know why but just be sure to try it out before you start putting the car back together. i velcored my control box behind the pass side kick panel on a metal box so if i need to get at it in the future i wont have to take out the radio - just the console. i have the shaker 500 in a car built jun 9, 2005.
