You can do this yourself!

Go to Home Depot <or any hardware store> and buy a piece of galvinized stock about 26 inches.

It`s 26x1x1/16 or sumpin.

wipe it down with vinager. <so the paint will stick>

Cut one part of it to 19 inches , then cut 2 pieces to 2 inches. Yes , use that hacksaw that sits over there never used.

Grab your vise <yeah , that other thing you never use> and a hammer.

Bend it almost in half , but not quite . then at 1 1/4inches bend both sides the other way , but not ALL the way , then bend both sides again at 3 inches to make it straight again. You have created a big "M" or a "W" with wings. The whole thing should be 12 inches in length. SEE THE PICS!! Keep fitting it in the middle plastic black brace on the lowest opening on the front until you get the bends to fit snug and true.

Now take your 2 2inch pieces and bend them 1/3 the way to a 45 degree angle.

Now comes the hardest part , find a neighborhood welder type and have him tack-weld the two 2in pieces to the stock. SEE THE PICS!!

Paint it , drill your holes in the 2 pieces and where the licence plate attaches. Get 2 tapping screws and tap your holes on the bottom of the bumper where it can never be seen.[IMG][/IMG]

Now attach your plate , and you see the strenth it gives for the wind , and a little extra protection for your AC coils.

Let me know what ya`ll think.

KDF, I like your originality. I'm having problems comprehending how the braket attaches to the car. Can you please send some pictures of how to attach the bracket to the car?

Is this set up easy and quick to remove. I'd like to remove the LP for car shows and then re-install it before leaving the show.

Thanks,
OD

Top flanges on the bracket.
put in from behind center post.
Mark where holes on bracket align, and its straight on the front.
Use 2 tapping bolts <1 1/4 in>.
Takeout bracket and tap marked spots with the bolts , use your hand to compress the plastic and bumper for a straight hole.
put back in bracket and screw it in snug , but not too tight , as it will ream out the holes.
Walla.
