Do a search for gentex homelink mirror on Ebay. I got mine for $185.00 with homelink and compass. The seller included a wiring harness which helped a lot. It works perfectly, and looks factory. Total install time start to finish was no BS 20 mins. I imagine if you get the one with the outside temp it would trake longer. I got 2 add a circuit blocks for the fuse box from autozone. This helped a lot with the install and gives peace of mind if I ever need to remove it. No cutting of wires. IMO, there's no reason to pay $385.00 plus outrageos install from the dealer. This is too easy.

The Ford dealer had an open box on a Homelink/compass/auto-dimming mirror that they gave me for cost, so I had them install it (just couldn’t bring myself to ripping off the interior trim bits on my brand new GT). They also ran a separate circuit for me for my Valentine 1 radar detector. The Homelink and auto-dimming features are great.

Probably eqivalent to having a small child who you can command..."Hey boy... open that garage door"... "Hey boy, flip that dimmer switch on the mirror"
Sorry.. just thinking out loud.. lol

Actually, there really is no good space to keep the rather large 13 year old garage door opener control I have, and I'll never have to deal with dead batteries again. As for the auto-dimming mirror, there's just too many SUVs that pull up behind me with their lights shinning in my eyes. For 2007, the mirror is now an option on the Mustang, so it should cost less. I like it, and I guess Ford thinks there is a demand for it too.
