Convertible drainage
Has any one noticed a problem with water runoff (or more correctly NOT running off) and 05/06 convertibles?
I am not sure if this is what is going on, but it seems like the most likely scenario - here is what I saw.
I was taking off the frame braces (while putting in rear springs) and when I removed the 3rd bolt from the front, water started coming out...
It wasn't much, but then this is a garage kept car that typically only sees water when washed.
a. Did ford really screw up that badly and put a bolt in the drain path?
- there is a hole right in front of the bolt hole that looks like it was intended for drainage - but the water very clearly came out of the bolt hole instead...
b. Anyone seeing (or hearing) more extreme accumulations?
c. Has this been an issue in prior vert models?
- the internal body panels that one can see down past the vert machinery appear to be well coated, but standing water is never a good thing...
Maybe this is why Verts are soo heavy?
