Default Adding Temp Gauge

I want to add a temp gauge and was wondering where in the cooling system to put the sending unit (1/8in tap) and how? If you have added one, what did you use?
Thanks,
WC

You have two choices. Either mount it in the water cross over tube on the front of the motor on the passengers side, or, there is a brass plug on the drivers side up under the exhaust header. Either will work.

Thanks,
Is there a plug in the cross over tube? I'll go look when it gets light. I just don't want it to be a major P.I.T.A. to do. I would like to monitor the temp before I put underdrive pullys on to see if an electric H2O pump is needed. I would rather save my money at this time for other mods higher up on the list. Shocks and springs, long tube headers etc.
I did see where I could monitor it with my X-cal2, but found a digital gauge I like. Besides I like gauges.

You will have to drill and tap if you choose to put the sensor in the water cross over tube. But it is not that big of a deal. You can actually stuff a rag in the cross over tube and drill it with it on the car. Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying that is the correct way to do it, I am just saying it can be done.

Just so happens there is a group buy on the "other" forum for Tokico's and Ebiachs.
