Will 275/40/18 on stock 8.5 rims work in front and rear?

I want to go 275 all around on the stock rims. Has anyone done this yet? I especially interested in the front. I know technically 255's are the widest you should go but want to see if this can be done.

Should work in the rear, personally I would not run them in the front. I would drop it back to 255s.

I have the 18x8.5s as well. 275 sounds a bit wide for the rim. I am pretty sure it is not reccomended. I definatly wouldent put it up front.

I would love to hear from some guys that are running that tire in the back and have good results.

But overall, I think the best tire for those rims will end up being the 255-45-18's.

+1 min. rim size for a 275 is 9.0. 8.5 is pushing it. some installers wont even do it. and youd play hell trying to get a warranty on the tire, they would say failure was do to inproper mounting. a 255 45 is better and is 27 in dia so no speedo issues
