Use Dawn (hand dishwashing liquid) to remove the wax. Zaino recommends using this on the car before applying their wax. They say it has a high alkaline content, which cuts right through the wax.
+1 for dishsoap, but rinse thoroughly.

heh, funny aside, my friend was washing his car once with his new pressure washer and he filled the soap container up....was washing his car and it wasn't lathering up, after about 15 mins he finally found the problem....he'd filled it with engine degreaser instead!

I also agree on the Dawn Dishwashing Soap, it's not worth purchasing the wax remover IMO.

Most stuff comes with alcohol wipes just for wax removal. My CDC Chin spoiler and other things have.

Do you have to keep the dawn or the alcohol off any parts off the car? How much dish soap and how much rubbing alcohol are we talking here?

I used Naphtha from Home depot when installing my stripes. I saw it recommended over rubbing alcohol on several vinyl graphic websites. I first washed with the original dawn, then naphtha and finally followed with a quick wipe with rubbing alcohol for good measure. The said thing is I had just done a nice wax with meguiars a week earlier.

It shouldn't hurt any of the other parts of the car that normally get water on them when you wash it. Only enough Dawn to make the water soapy. It is the high alkaline content of Dawn that cuts through the wax. Remember that this should be done no more than once or twice a year. You can start to hurt the clear coat if you do it more than that.
