Default XM Roady XT pics?

Anyone out there have an XM Roady XT installed? I had XM in my past car and haven't figured out a way to put it in the GT (that I'm comfortable with). Seems like every option looks like trash. Anyway... I've narrowed it down to the Roady XT (unless anyone has others suggestions). Does anyone have pics of one installed? I like to see how it looks before I tell the local stereo boys to put it in.

I have a Roady XT, and am waiting for my frd04 so I can connect to the Aux in port.

I plan to install the frd04 the way they are installing it in the '07 models. I will route the connector port into the armrest enclosure next the the 12v port. This way it will be out of sight, and for channel surfing it can sit in the cupholder.

Does anyone know if the remotes will change channels when it's under the armrest cover?

Here ya go.

I have heard the remote will not work while the unit is in the armrest, but I don't know for sure. Let me know if you find out different....

I have it in my other car and its great when it works. Thats the only problem, it doesnt work in canyons etc. I thought that that was the point of satellite radio. Dont know if im interested in putting in the mustang because of that, although the variety of stations is awesome.

mlcrycc... when it's "out", is it just loose there? Or do you have it soft mounted some how? Also, how is your reception with the antenna in the back window?

6605,
When it's out in "surf" mode, it just sits right there. It kinda tucks a bit under the lip of the center console, so I have never secured it at all. Besides that, my drive to work is only about 15 minutes at most, so usually I just stick on XM46.......

Reception is great, even with the dark tint. But, I have heard it depends upon your location...so it would be wise to just set it back there and try it before hiding all the wires....

Anything else, give me a shout.....

AARRRGH... I don't know what to do! I need my XM and yet I hate stuff sticking out of the interior where it doesn't belong. I like your install, but I surf so much I need something at my fingertips. I'm actually considering the Alpine IVA-W200 with the XM adapter now. I have no idea how $45 Roady XT turned into a $1000 deck, but I've seen crazier things.

What about one of those cup holder mount thingies......Mount inside the console, but use the cup holder mount when surfing.....I've thought of going that route as well....

I'd like to have it integrated in the stereo as well because I'm not crazy about the sound degradation using the FM modulator, but it works fine for now.
