advice? Circuit capable tires for stock rims
hello everyone,
I just applied for autumn Sports Car challenge at the local circuit of Most.
I was wandering if you guys would have any advice for me what kind of tires I should buy for my 05 GT for those purposes?
Nothing really expensive and also suitable for stock rims (i dont use any other rims as local roads sucks too much).
Every year this event is attended by 100 of local folks Porsches, Lambos, Ferraris, BMW Ms and so on. Last spring round was attended by my fellow from local Mustang Riders Club with GT 05 (just CAI and tune) and he did pretty good.
Thank you for any tips!

Well if you want to stay around the $100 mark you might want to try these kumho spt's

They're an ultra high performance summer tire and should give better grip than the Pirelli Pzeros. I've personally used the kumho 712's and couldn't get those things to break loose on my truck. A 255/50/17 should fit just fine on the stock rims and it's only .2 inches smaller in diameter which is negligable.
There are some better options i'm sure, but none that will match performance/price wise. I'll probably be getting these tires when I wear out the Pzeros.

thank you for a tip..
I might be willing invest maybe a bit more.... and just keep them for circuit racing...
are there any semi-slicks or you think it would be better for me to i.e. buy used set of tires?

Sorry, thought you were looking for something you could still use on the street. You should try asking on a racing forum.
