Default Need help adding an amp and sub to the shaker 500

Anyone know what the best way would be to connect an amp to the shaker 500 for use with a sub? I was told the shaker doesn't have any pre amp outputs and I would have to tap into the rear speakers to get a signal to the amp. I think the quality wouldn't be very good using this method. What is everyone else with aftermarket amps/subs doing?

Go to circuit city. They do good installs on car audio.

Yeah but I really dont want to do that if it's possible to keep the stock unit.

I did mine wiring to the rear speakers using the speaker level inputs. Trust me, you won't hear the difference with a sub, especially in the trunk. I've used both ways in the past and I couldn't tell the diff.

the easiest and most convenient way to do it is just hook up the remote wire directly to the battery w/ a switch so you can manually turn it off and on. you know, so when you want to give your head a breather and not hear mind thumping bass? anyways, if you wanted to go the spiffy way, you could just order the led light switches like i did. i installed mine right next to the stick for easy access. the front one is for the angel eyes and the rear one is for the subs. don't mind the switches being dirty, thats just dust, i'm too lazy to clean em.
